Welcome to the Ecorem Tech Blog (ETB)—your space to explore ideas, innovations, and insights at the intersection of science, sustainability, and impact.
As an early-stage environmental biotech and consulting company, we're learning, experimenting, and growing in real time. This blog is where we share that journey—with reflections from the lab, updates from the field, and thought leadership on the environmental issues that drive us.
Researchers, funders, policy makers, students, entrepreneurs, and anyone curious about the science behind sustainability.
Stay tuned for our first feature soon—and until then, feel free to explore our Updates or follow us on LinkedIn.

Because every breakthrough starts with an idea worth sharing.

Over the past week, Ecorem Tech proudly participated in two landmark events at Sci-Tech Daresbury — the Business Breakfast Networking Event on October 10th and the Daresbury Tenant Connect meeting on October 15th. Both gatherings brought together innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs driving the next wave of sustainable technology and scientific discovery across the UK.
Showcasing Ecorem Tech’s Mission and Innovations
At both events, Dr. Anthony Futughe, Founder and CEO of Ecorem Tech, presented the company’s mission to transform environmental challenges into opportunities through nature-based biotechnology and systems-driven sustainability innovation.
Dr. Futughe highlighted how Ecorem Tech is pioneering bio-based, circular, and regenerative technologies designed to restore ecosystems, reduce pollution, and accelerate the green transition.
“Our goal is simple: to bridge science and impact, restoring ecosystems, supporting inclusive, and equitable innovation,“ said Dr. Futughe during his presentation.

During the Daresbury Tenant Connect session, Ecorem Tech introduced its growing portfolio of eco-biotechnologies — each tackling a critical environmental or public health challenge:
Each innovation is advanced through Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) — from laboratory validation to field deployment — aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG principles.
Collaboration at the Heart of Innovation
As a tenant at Sci-Tech Daresbury, Ecorem Tech benefits from access to a vibrant innovation ecosystem that connects science, technology, and business. The recent events provided an ideal platform to engage with potential partners, investors, and research collaborators exploring solutions in biotechnology, cleantech, and sustainability.
“Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. Being part of the Daresbury community allows us to collaborate, exchange ideas, and co-create technologies that have real environmental impact,” Dr. Futughe added.
Looking Ahead
Ecorem Tech continues to expand its partnerships across academia, industry, and government to deliver practical, scalable, and regenerative biotechnology solutions. The company’s work embodies its core philosophy — Turning Environmental Challenges into Opportunities.
